We collect as little as we can, keep it only as long as the law requires, and never sell or rent it to anybody.

1. Who we are
This website is operated by Partners Charity Fund For Israel (“Partners”, “we”, “us”), a nonprofit corporation exempt from United States federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, EIN 20-5550560, with its U.S. office at 5014 16th Ave., Apt 448, Brooklyn, NY 11204, United States.
We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy. If you have any question about it, write to bepartners@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need in order to accept your gift, receipt it correctly, and answer you.
Information you give us
- When you donate: your name, email address, postal address, telephone number where you provide one, the amount and frequency of your gift, and any note or programme designation you add.
- When you contact us: your name, email address, and whatever you choose to write in your message.
- When you request documents such as our Form 990 or determination letter: your name and email address.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical data when a page is requested — IP address, browser type, referring page, date and time. These logs are used for security and reliability and are not linked to donor records.
This website loads no third-party resources of any kind. Typefaces, styles, scripts and images are all served from our own domain. There are no advertising trackers, no social-media pixels, no analytics, and no behavioural profiling.
3. How we use information
We use the information described above only to:
- process your donation and issue the receipt the law requires us to issue;
- administer recurring gifts, including changes and cancellations you request;
- send you an annual consolidated tax receipt each January;
- respond to your correspondence;
- send occasional updates about the fund's work, where you have not asked us to stop;
- keep the accounting, tax and regulatory records we are legally obliged to keep;
- detect and prevent fraud, and secure this website.
We do not sell, rent, trade or lend donor information to anyone, for any purpose, at any price. We do not participate in donor-list exchanges.
4. Payment processing
Card donations are handled by Banquest on a hosted payment page at pay.banquest.com. Pressing the donate button takes you off this website and onto that page, where you enter your card number, expiry date and security code over an encrypted connection. Those details do not pass through, and are never stored on, this website or any system we control, and no member of our staff can see them.
Banquest processes your payment information as an independent controller under its own privacy policy, published on the Banquest website. From Banquest we receive only the information we need to receipt and reconcile your gift: your name, email address, billing address, the amount, the date, and the last four digits and brand of the card used.
Donations made by cheque, bank transfer or Zelle are processed by our bank under its own terms.
5. Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics or advertising technology. A single browser localStorage entry records your language preference (English or Hebrew) so the site opens in the language you chose; it contains no personal information and is never transmitted to us. If you proceed to Banquest's hosted payment page, Banquest may set cookies that are strictly necessary to process the payment and to detect fraud; those are governed by Banquest's cookie policy, not ours.
6. Who we share information with
We disclose personal information only in these narrow circumstances:
- Service providers who need it to do their job for us — our payment processor, our bank, our accountant, our email provider, and our hosting provider. Each is bound to use the information only for the service they provide to us.
- Legal and regulatory requirements — where disclosure is required by law, court order, subpoena, or by a governmental or tax authority with jurisdiction over us.
- Protection of rights — where disclosure is reasonably necessary to investigate suspected fraud or to protect the safety of any person.
Aggregate figures — total amounts raised, numbers of donors, programme allocations — may be published in our annual report. These never identify an individual donor.
We never publish a donor's name without their explicit, specific permission.
7. How long we keep it
Donation records are retained for a minimum of seven years from the end of the tax year in which the gift was made, as required for United States tax and charitable-reporting purposes. General correspondence is retained for three years. When a retention period ends, records are securely deleted or destroyed.
If you ask us to delete your information we will do so to the extent we are not legally required to keep it — in practice this means we can remove you from all mailings immediately, but must retain the underlying receipt record for the statutory period.
8. Your rights and choices
Everyone
- Unsubscribe. Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to stop writing at any time by replying or emailing us. We action this within two business days.
- Access and correction. You may ask us what information we hold about you and ask us to correct it if it is wrong.
- Deletion. You may ask us to delete your information, subject to the legal retention obligation described above.
California residents
The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, applies to businesses operated for profit. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Partners Charity Fund For Israel is generally outside its scope. We nonetheless extend the same protections to California donors as a matter of policy: you may ask what personal information we hold, request its correction or deletion, and you will never be treated differently for asking. We do not sell or share personal information as the CCPA defines those terms, and have not done so in the preceding twelve months.
Residents of the EEA and the United Kingdom
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to our processing, our lawful bases are: performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request, in order to process and receipt your donation; compliance with a legal obligation, for tax and accounting records; and our legitimate interest in keeping supporters informed about the work they fund. You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.
9. Security
This website is served over HTTPS with strict transport security, a restrictive Content Security Policy, and no third-party code. Donor records are held in access-controlled systems available only to the small number of staff who need them for receipting and compliance. Card details are never in our possession at any point.
No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. If we ever become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by applicable law.
10. Children
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of thirteen. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International transfers
We are based in the United States and our charitable work is carried out in Israel. Information you provide will be processed in the United States, and limited information may be transferred to Israel in the course of administering the fund. Data-protection law in these countries may differ from that of your own.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page always reflects the current version. Where a change materially affects how we handle information already collected, we will notify affected donors by email before it takes effect.
